Back to School |
This collection did not seem nearly as free as the last. Perhaps it was because writers knew where they had to get Connie to a certain point and didnt want extraneous episodes. In general the episodes are tighter and more predictable Back to School, Mike Makes Right, and Rumor Has It use storylines that have been around for what seems to be millenniums. There are good episodes. A Single Vote is based on a good, true story, and although it is told a bit dryly, it is still a very good episode overall. Thank You, God tells some of Whits history. Much of it, I think, stems from the big episode in the album Connie. Yes, it is a good episode, and certainly very important to the series, but it lacked the power of some of the earlier episodes and this was needed to push the episode over the top. It can't compare to some of the later "conversion" episodes, like The Time Has Come, A Touch of Healing, Where is Thy Sting?, or even It Began with a Rabbit's Foot...
